Redevelopment and revitalization are words that best describe the new direction residents are pursuing at Guste Homes. GHRMC is currently overseeing the demolition of 226 old and outdated multi-family units. Upon the completion of the 98 units and the demolition of the 226, the GHRMC will begin the construction of 156 units comprised of one, two, three and four bedroom units.
The GHRMC is also directing more than $6million in more renovation to the Guste Homes high-rise tower where there will be newly installed elevators, upgraded management office, security system, community space and newly installed kitchens in each of its apartments.
Our 25 million dollar newly renovated building allows for persons who are 55 and older, elderly, handicap or disable. We offer one and two bedroom units with onsite amenities such as a large laundry room on the first floor, and three smaller laundry rooms on the upper floor, a large community center where scheduled activities are held, on site doctors’ office, 24 hour security, gated parking lot, an indoor mini store and more.
Guste Homes I
The Guste Homes 1 apartments were design by an out of town architect. These two and three bedroom units are two stories, with large kitchen and living space, two and half bath, washer dryer hook up, gated resident parking, and an outdoor balcony.
Guste Homes II
The Guste Homes II apartments were design by a local New Orleans architect- Perez APA. The newly designed two and three bedroom units have a green design that includes solar panels to compliment the natural New Orleans feel. Each unit has its own individual parking with some off street parking, large kitchen and living area, dishwasher, two full size bathroom, washer and dryers, large outdoor porch and with some units built as two story units.
